Steven Keup
General Manager

Mr. Keup is the General Manager of The Westin Embassy Row in Washington, D.C. and serves Pyramid Advisors LLC, a Boston-based hotel development, management and ownership firm.
A seasoned manager and operator, Mr. Keup began his career as a management trainee for Radisson Hotel Corporation in 1982. Over the course of his career he has held various positions such as front desk manager, room’s division manager, assistant food and beverage director, resident manager, director of operations and the past 11 years as general manager. In addition to Pyramid Advisors, Mr. Keup has served Interstate Hotels & Resorts, Melrose Hotel Corporation and Crestline Hotels over the course of his 24 years in the hotel industry.
As a proven manager of full service hotels in various markets across the country, Mr. Keup has consistently increased hotel revenues, market share, average daily rate, profits, and guest and employee satisfaction scores for his hotel properties. His experience spans from new hotel openings to hotel acquisitions and repositioning of which two properties were public-private ventures of hotel/convention center projects.
Under his leadership, his hotels have been recognized by their ownership groups or franchisors as “Hotel of the Year” and Successful Meetings magazine awarded one of his properties the prestigious “Pinnacle Award”.
Mr. Keup is a member of the Hotel Association of Washington DC and is strongly committed to the Hotel Industry with particular interest in hotel development and acquisitions. He is a graduate of Saint John’s University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and Management.
